What does a RedTeddy cost?
RedTeddy red, party and apricot Miniature & Toy Poodles -  $2400.
Our blacks and browns - $2150.
RedTeddy Moyen Poodles, all colors - $3000.
All prices are expected to increase 12/20.
Deposits received before the increase hold the current pricing.

How to reserve your RedTeddy Poodle puppy:
We require a nonrefundable deposit of $350, which is deducted from the total price.
You will receive a receipt by email, and be placed on the waiting list based on the post mark.
The nonrefundable deposit can be a personal check or a United States Post Office Money Order made out  to: RedTeddy LLC and mail to: Redteddy LLC P.O. box 164 Ancram, NY 12502.

FAQ

What comes with a RedTeddy puppy?
RedTeddy Pups go to their forever homes with a certified veterinary health report, AKC or UKC  registration documents (unless otherwise indicated - we always give you a choice if you prefer a ukc, akc or other registry); first vaccines  and second set of vaccinations if they leave more than 3 weeks after the first vaccine; appropriate worming/puppy parasite protocol, AKC Reunite Microchip, two-year health guarantee.  You may purchase Redteddy Raw dog food as a transitional dog food.
Each RedTeddy family gets dozens of videos and photos of the litter and their puppy from birth to puppy pick up day, enough for a Memory Album!
When will my puppy come home?
As soon as we have a puppy available, usually within two weeks of birth we will notify families on our official wait list, with the deposit, by email and tell them about the litter so that they can plan for taking their puppy home in eight weeks. We will then wait until the puppies are old enough to show developing personality traits, while sending their future families many photos and videos along the way. We choose the right puppy for each family. We are not a pet store, where you go in and pick your favorite pup based on how cute they interact in five minutes: we choose based on your family and lifestyle, compared to the puppy temperament. When you get your litter notification email, you may choose to accept the puppy or wait (you can wait for any reason, such as the timing will not work, or you prefer a different color, etc.). Puppies go to their forever homes the weekend on or  after their 8-week birthday.
What if I cannot get there on Puppy Pick up Weekend?
We will work with you to arrange transportation by car or plane, or to meet you at either the Albany or Stewart International Airports in New York (fees apply). Board & Train is an option for people who need to wait a few days up to three weeks.Board & TrainFor those who are not quite ready, or who would like us to start your puppy’s training, we offer Board & Train (“B&T”), one-on-one and small group puppy training sessions for basic skills and behaviors including beginning overnight crate training, sit, come, stay, and basic house training.While B&T is not a guarantee, you will not  bring home a fully trained puppy - no puppy is ever fully trained at this young age, it’s a terrific way to get your puppy off on the right paw. Each B&T family receives a detailed outline of the commands the puppy has learned, so you can continue training at home with consistency to get the best results. B&T begins the Monday after puppy pick up weekend and can last up to three weeks (fees apply).

How do I know which puppy will be for my family?
We take our time to choose the right puppy for each family. We will notify you as soon as we have a litter with a puppy that fits your preferences. If we can we will offer you a choice, such as for pups with special markings or colors, and of course we will do our best to match you with your preferences as closely as possible! When more than one puppy fits the preferences of more than one family on our wait list, we will choose which puppy goes where based on our decade-plus of experience understanding puppies, balanced with the energy, activity level and special needs and/or characteristics of individuals waiting.
About color and size: 
ALL POODLE COAT COLORS FADE OVER TIME.
So far, there is no known gene to test for that keeps the deep red color. Some of our red puppy coats will fade slowly, a few fade quickly. We are working with other breeders toward a longer lasting deep red. Size is something a little easier to predict, but not the way you would expect! We cannot go by the parent size, as we have a series of Miniature Poodle puppies whose both parents are under eight pounds! We are doing growth charts on our puppies from these litters to make it easier to predict which puppies will end up significantly larger or smaller than their parents. Poodles finish most of their growth by age two, so even a one year old may still get taller, and then fill out.
What makes a RedTeddy puppy so special?
The Safe, fun, interesting (and healthy!) Early Environment, with enough Freedom to stimulate little developing brains, is what makes a RedTeddy Puppy a curious, brave, adventurous creature who will charm everyone they meet!  Our puppies are socialized in a variety of different locations. We try to take each litter to  stores, parks, and local schools to meet a variety of humans. They also encounter different visitors at home, along with a troop of exuberant dogs, big and small. [During Covid-19, we are carefully socializing pups in a safe way, and until our governor changes the guidelines, there are no in person visits. We still provide dozens of pics, videos and facetime for current and future puppy families.
Can I Visit before sending my deposit, or when I am waiting for my puppy?
We are suspending all in person visits. Facetime visits can still be scheduled, so you can still see our location, and meet the dogs and puppies on-site. The only visits we currently allow are allergy test visits, which are not done at our location and will not introduce you to any of our puppies. See below for more information about scheduling an allergy visit.Health is also what they eat:We feed a mostly homemade diet. Our dogs are rarely sick even with common ailments such as skin allergies or 'hot spots.’  We offer new families a three-day supply of our food to take with home on puppy pick up day ($40 for five pounds, $75 for ten pounds).What if I or someone in my family is allergic ?If you have concerns about a family member’s allergies, you may schedule an allergy check visit prior to submitting your nonrefundable deposit. This visit takes place with two or three of our adult dogs, at a local park. The visit costs $40 (deducted from your deposit if you move ahead with reserving a puppy) and lasts about 20 minutes where we encourage the allergic person to interact with our Poodles close-up. We highly recommend anyone whose household includes pet allergies take this step before submitting the non refundable deposit!

We receive dozens of inquiries and applications every month. It is simply not possible for us to notify everyone individually when a litter is born, and if we sent out a mass email birth notice only people constantly on social media would get a RedTeddy puppy.
Can I breed my puppy?
RedTeddy is always looking for families who want to raise RedTeddy future parent dogs at your home. If you are interested in our RedTeddy Partner Program or our co-owner relationship program, and you have the necessary location, commitment and time, we will teach you how to help us create more RedTeddys.  RedTeddys must pass a series of tests before they are allowed to breed.
