WHAT'S IN A PEDIGREE?
All Redteddy puppies are sold as registrable with either the American Kennel Club (AKC) or the United Kennel Club (UKC) unless otherwise noted. (If you have a preference for either AKC or UKC iask us to put that on your application for when we offer you a puppy.)Almost all our sires and dams are either AKC or cross registered with both AKC and UKC.
Neither AKC nor UKC oversee individual breeders. These groups keep track of ancestry and offer shows, trials, and advice, etc., but they do not guarantee puppies will be within a specific breed standard - that is up to individual breeders. New York State Law requires breeders selling more than 19 puppies in a given year must register with the Department of Agriculture, be inspected, and must provide information about laws affecting their puppy. One such law states breeders must clearly state the registration organization the puppy can be registered with and provide registration papers within a specific time period. Redteddy usually sends puppies home with these 'papers.' The AKC and the UKC are organizations that keep pedigrees, or lineage, of the puppy's parents. Redteddy is inspected every few years by the AKC, but other than that neither organization guarantees anything good, or bad, about a specific puppy or breeder.

A big softy, Chestnut is just as cuddle and lap friendly as all Poodles. And, wow can she jump! Chestnut cannot be contained. She easily spans five foot gates and fences, and can make a 45 degree turn in mid-air. Great with all the pups, Chestnut is a star.

Baby Bear
7.5 Lbs 10" tall, a true Toy, BB was born at the RedTeddy Ranch and now lives among a herd of cows (and grand kids) in nearby Massachusetts.

There is nothing to say about Tequi other than, this dog is an absolute doll. All love. Plays well with others, good mommy.

Parents were Little Bear and Billy. Rhubarb's parents are both 7-ish pound Toy Poodles and she is pushing 15 pounds! A true beauty, we cannot wait to see her first litter of pups!

Pennsylvania Copper Penny Boobles, A beautiful and fun loving 14 pound Miniature Poodle. Penny is not listed with AKC or UKC (we were unable to obtain the papers fromher breeder) We did meet her Poodle parents and confirmed her lineage with DNA breed testing.

Labrador Retriever Security Dog! Sara has helped us raise over a dozen Toy and Mini Poodle puppies, who are barely the size of her nose! Gentle and playful (and an eating machine, Sara helps do the dishes!), Sara is also our Guard Greeting dog! She clears the fence and checks out everyone who enters the RedTeddy Ranch.
