Poodle puppies for puppy people!®

How many dogs have you known who willingly share their favorite toy, let alone a real-life cow bone from the local butcher, with another dog???
Not many, right? But Redteddies do! Most dogs, even the friendliest among them, draw the line at sharing such a sumptuous treat. That is why I was so surprised to find Daddy Leo happily sharing a real bone, a truly marvelous thing to chew on (if you are a dog) with Pup, his ten week old puppy (soon to go leave us for the great state of Colorado)! |
Pups in Motion Socialization is the single most important part of a young puppies life. According to Dog Whisperer Cesar Milan, puppies raised with their litter mates and parents learn a great deal from the natural teaching that healthy, balanced adult dogs can provide. RedTeddy encourages our puppies to play and engage with other dogs of their clan in amusing, playful ways, often to the detriment to our living room furniture! Like young children, the puppies & older dogs get into mischief learning through play. Dog & Puppy Show (on the right) has a 6-week old puppy playing recklessly with his mother. Notice how the mother dips her head down to get the pups attention and allows him to wrestle her all out with tooth and paw, while she happily plays back without ever being too rough. In Mommy Steps In, a five-week-old and a three month-old play together. The younger pup is having a terrific time being ‘tough’ with her big sister. The older puppy is careful not to be too rough, but manages to snag the littler one's leg just a little too hard. The baby cries and mom rushes in! First she checks making sure the baby is OK, and then yells at the older puppy! What human parent hasn’t experienced this exact scenario?! Educational TV - is it good for puppies, too? Will it help them get into college?? Not exactly, but exposure to everyday life when they are young does help integrate the puppy and atune her to the human world. The puppy in this video is aware of the television, which many dogs ignore, and even sees something interesting on it, 'Wow! A cow! I love Animal Planet!' At RedTeddy we think it’s important to let puppies experience the sights and sounds of everyday life so they do not overreact, becoming nervous and high strung, later on in life. Our puppies won't be overly shocked by loud or sudden noises. Cats and Dogs, who says they don't get along?! At RedTeddy cats play an active role in shaping our puppies' attitudes towards the feline species. A family who has other pets need not worry about the new puppy not taking an instant liking to any cat they meet. Now the cat liking the puppy? Thats another story, not all cats like puppies quite as much as our cat Frankie likes Baby, a three month old RedTeddy puppy! |
